Chloe Decas is a multimedia journalist at KSBY News, serving as a community reporter for San Luis Obispo.
Chloe joined the KSBY team as a content producer in 2024, before making the switch to reporting in 2026. During her time as a producer, Chloe developed a deep understanding of local issues and worked behind the scenes to help keep Central Coast residents informed. She was excited when an opportunity came up for her to continue serving the community as a reporter, a role where she could interact face-to-face with the people whose stories she had been covering for the past two years.
Just weeks before starting at KSBY, the Ventura native graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, with a degree in Communications and Media Arts. She worked in the university’s journalism department as a technical assistant and enjoyed a stint on Cal Poly’s FCC-licensed radio station, KCPR-FM.
In her free time, Chloe likes to hike her favorite local trails, cook new recipes, get lost in a good book, and spend time with friends. You can contact her with any story ideas – as well as any trail, book, or recipe recommendations – at chloe.decas@ksby.com.
