Valentina Saldaña joined the KSBY team as a multimedia journalist in early September.
She graduated from Fresno State in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications & Journalism, a minor in Philosophy, and a Sports Marketing certificate.
While at Fresno State, she interned with the Fresno State Athletics Strategic Communications Department and with MyTV53 as a sports reporter and fill-in anchor. She served as president of the Public Relations Student Society of America chapter on campus and was a production assistant for the local KSEE24/CBS47 news station.
Valentina also worked for The Collegian, Fresno State’s student-run newspaper, climbing the ranks from Sports Editor to Managing Editor and finally Editor-in-Chief her senior year. During her time there, she created and hosted 'The Collegian Cooldown' sports podcast, earning third in the state for best college podcasts.
During her free time, Valentina enjoys cheering on the 49ers, going on hikes, or attending a fun music event.
