Dylan Foreman joined KSBY as Sports Director in January 2023. A graduate of Pacific Lutheran University, Dylan was a starter on the university’s basketball team all four years he attended school and was captain for three. It was at Pacific Lutheran that he found a passion for sports broadcasting — majoring in journalism and becoming heavily involved in calling games for the athletic department and working within various student media outlets.
After graduation, Dylan continued his professional experience with internships at ROOT Sports Northwest and the Seattle Mariners. He also pursued another passion: coaching basketball. For the next three years, he developed the skills necessary to get his first job in sports reporting at KSBY’s sister station, KRTV, in Great Falls, Montana.
After over a year and a half working in Great Falls and Bozeman, covering everything from small-town 6-man football all the way to bare-knuckle boxing and rodeos, Dylan is excited to bring his unique storytelling abilities to the California Central Coast and expand on the amazing opportunities he’s had.
Dylan’s favorite memory while working in sports was covering the 75th Annual East-West Shrine football game in Great Falls as a reporter during the week leading up to the game. He told multiple stories about the players and coaches before the big game, and then got the chance to do play-by-play for the statewide broadcast that helped raise money for the Shriners Children’s Hospital in Spokane, Washington.
Aside from being obsessed with hoops and playing pick-up basketball, Dylan enjoys hacking his way through as many golf rounds as possible in the much warmer and more consistent climate of the Central Coast. He also spends time with his fur-baby Viggo who is arguably the greatest ball fetcher this side of the Mississippi. In addition, he is always on the hunt for a good karaoke spot.
