    Man dies of possible carbon monoxide poisoning in Santa Maria

    A young man was found dead of possible carbon monoxide poisoning on Friday morning in Santa Maria.

    Fire Chief Dan Orr said the man was found in his car in a garage of his home in the 300 block of South Russell Avenue. Four other people in the house were also taken to the hospital for treatment.

    The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's coroner will determine the cause of the man's death.

    Cal Fire responds to shed fire in Los Osos

    Cal Fire is on scene of a shed fire at a home near the intersection of El Morro Avenue and Eighth Street. That is next to Baywood Elementary.

    It appears the fire is nearly contained, but Cal Fire still has units on scene.

    Call it a lesson in re-gifting.

    A local brother and sister just turned their Christmas presents into a gift for two local charities.

    Ella, 3 and 5-year-old Kaleb Simonin both received $100 under the tree from their aunt, but the gift was also wrapped up with a lesson in sharing.
